Dear Madam,
I should like to say how much I admire your pluck in defying the War Office the way you have. My husband is a prisoner in No. 1 Camp, Thailand, and I know how much it means to get a little news especially if that news is a little more hopeful than the shocking reports we have heard up until now. In any case I am sure I can safely say all relatives of the men in the Far East prefer to know the truth, whether it is good or bad. I have several friends who have sons or husbands out there and we should very much like to see one of your reports. Could you please spare me one and I will see that they all get a chance to read it. Two of the boys are in No. 4 Camp and the rest are in No. 1 Some of us haven't . . .
